|===============================|

This patch is to fill a gap of sorts that appeared awhile
back and only got larger. All of the nice patches for BS
Zelda either broke the game, or required a patch that did.
By broke the game I don't mean it doesn't work, it sort of
does... The problem is most playtest or made their patches
with ZSNES. But ZSNES is not very accurate to the real SNES.

The result is when you try to play these great patches on
more accurate emulators or a real Super Nintendo console is
a varying collection of crashes or odd behaviors, more
recently I've noticed sound problems which lead to sound
locking up. And that's why I've made my own patches.

This patch was built from the ground up with the original
untouched ROM. ld-bszld.swc with a CRC32 of : aea0522a

This patch does the following:

* = v.1.0
**= v.1.1

* Removes BSX Bios call that caused immiediate crash.

* Fixed up imbedded ROM information. It will
  now be detected by most emulators or software properly.

* Removed WaitSigns that appear frequently. They never
  popup anymore.

* Enabled Dungeon and Overworld Music. Originally the BSX
  broadcast mixed in remixed music.

* Removed bad BSX Gender fetch. Gender of your player was
  fetched from the BSX hardware. This fetch would grab
  garbage data since the BSX isn't there. Current fixed
  for male, but there is a patch to choose the female.

* Removed 57+ minute fade out. You probably shouldn't
  play past the 57 minute mark, but for now I'm having
  this removed just incase.

* Removed 7 minute wait at the start. This really doesn't
  need to be done as the game starts at 00:07, but should
  you cheat and make the time XX:00 you won't have problems
  I guess.

* Added Initialize time rountine. It sets the time to 00:07,
  so you start when players on the BSX did. Before time was
  85:85 or 86:86 as the values were never initialized, the
  BSX hardware would have done that.

* Added a routine to advance weeks appropriately. When you
  obtain Triforce 1&2, you move onto the next week, and 3&4
  and 5&6. Cheaters beware, getting the Triforce out of
  order may leave you stuck. Before the patch you were always
  on Week 3.

* Fixed/Added Triforce requirement to face Ganon. Previously
  you did not need any of the Triforce to face him.

** added an ending screen

** forced boy shriek

** disable fanfare at the beginning

And most importantly this WILL run on ANYTHING. If your
emulator is half decent it will work. Better yet if your
emulator is highly accurate, it will work. And best of all
if you are playing on a real console either Super Nintendo
or Super Famicom, it will work. This is called the Lite
Patch as it isn't as fully featured as some other patches.

But you can play the game, beginning to end with no problems!
That's right, all the timed events and anything else you can
think of should work perfectly.

What I'd like to do in the future:

* Add introduction/title screen of some kind.

* Add endings, both defeat (time up) and victory (kill Ganon)

* Game Saving/Loading (maybe)

* ????

Thanks go out to everyone at the BS-Zelda Homepage community. =)
